* GRADIENT SPECKLE (GS): 4 strands; All color runs are the same yardage throughout. There are never 4 strands all the same color (no solid runs). Can be worked from center-pull or from outside of yarn cake.

* INCREMENTAL GRADIENT SPECKLE (IGS): 4 strands; Works especially well for triangular scarf/shawl patterns to have an even distribution of each color run as the size increases. Small yardage start (at least 2 yards, depending on the number of colors used in a colorway) from the center, increasing incrementally with each color change. There are never 4 strands all the same color (no solid runs). NOTE: NOTE: THE CENTER-PULL COLOR WILL BE YOUR STARTING COLOR TO ACHIEVE THE INCREMENTAL INCREASE EFFECT
